About Me:
My names Ashleigh, I just want to meet other people that have alopecia that are my age, and maybe get some confidence from this. I am almost 16 and I have had this for almost three years now. It honestly doesn't bother me that much, but at times it bugs me. I have lost almost half my hair before and then it grew back and now I am loosing more, I can hide it but I'm scared that I might loose all of it.
Do you have alopecia?
Alopecia areata
Are you age 18 or older?
No - I am not 18 or older

Hi Ashleigh!
thanks :)
my wig is from a company called Amy's Presence... and I love it to bits! It's absolutely perfect! Mine's from a little place in Phoenix, Arizona, which sells these wigs, but they're available all over US and Canada. Amy (the woman who designs them) has Alopecia, so they're perfect for us Alopecians because they're made to live in, unlike wigs for cancer patients. I'm sure if you type in Amy's presence in google, you'd get a link to the website. I'd definately suggest the wigs. They're soo comfortable! Some people live in theirs 24/7 but i take mine off to sleep. I hope this helps!

Hi Ashleigh :)
I'm Liz, I'm 18 and I've had Alopecia areata for 10 years now.
It's great that you can feel so accepting and calm about this :) I have areata, and I've lost my hair completely before, at the min I've got about 40-50%.

Just honestly don't worry about it. You are strong, and you are beautiful :)

Yeah six flags is way fun, I love it. you should definately try to get there some time. Such an intense feeling. School does get really stressful, everyone needs a break at some point :)
