anyone without lashes ever use false ones?  I've been told it won't work for me because I don't have any lashes to support the false ones. Continue

Anyone try lattise for eyelash growth. My dermatologist prescribed it for me a couple of days ago. I miss my lashes more than my scalp hair or eyebrows.

Anyone diagnosed with hypothyroidism along with their alopecia? I'm curious to see if there is a connection between the two. Also, anyone hear anything about marijuana as a treatment option?

"You can use eyelashes, which can be glued to the eyelid, and not on the eyelashes themselves. In this case, it isn't important you have eyelashes or not, they will hold equally well."

anyone out there have experience with permanent makeup?  I’m thinking of getting my eyebrows done. I’m tired of having to draw them on each morning. Micro blading seems the way to go. More natural looking. Any thoughts?

Wigs or not

Posted on May 24, 2017 at 12:49am 1 Comment

Since buzzing what was left of my hair I haven't had the desire to wear any wigs. It just doesn't feel like me. I have also lost my eyebrows and lashes. The loss of my eyelashes almost feels worse than loosing my scalp hair. However, with makeup I am coping.

So.... Had a very severe bout of hair loss. Couldn't hide the bald spots. With the support of my husband, daughters and great friends, I shaved it all off. Very freeing! My husband says I look sexy, my daughters love it. I feel supported. I have gone out to dinner and shows without a wig or any head covering. Since I live n Arizona, I have lots of hats too. Having fun with eye makeup.

Fashion magazines

I love fashion magazines. I can't really explain why but I love the artistry of design. Have you ever noticed (those of you who read them) that when they publish a feature about "hair loss" alopecia is NEVER mentioned??????? Why is that?? Do we need to have a louder public voice?? Just a thought.
