- I've had Alopecia since college. I've always worn a wig. 11 years later I still have it and have come to deal with it better. There are still roller coaster days but they are few and far between.
It's amazing how much can change in a year. I have now worn 5 different wigs in a month. People at work and school and everywhere else in my life now know and I feel free. And I can look different and look good doing it!! I'm not cocky, I'm just excited for this new phase in my life.

I also love basketball. It's a scarf/bandanna and cap for me. I'm having a motivational speak Sun., Feb. 21st for us Alopecians. Light snack and refreshments and mingling before and after the motivational/inspirational speak. If you think you might go for that give me a call. I'm taking names now.
