Before I had alopecia over 40 years ago, I realized how nice it was to meet with family and friends and to enjoy each other's company. They were there to talk about world events, other family members and for me to discuss with friends what couldn't and wouldn't dare talk about with my parents.

Hi all. After having Alopecia for decades, I finally decided to go to a support group to find out if any new treatment plans have developed since I was first diagnosed. Treatments were all the same with much of the same results, but I enjoyed interacting with people that had the same thing I had. Thanks for your comments...so interesting that you have a mom who cares as mine never says a word or acts like I don't even have alopecia since she can't readily see my bald areas. Of course, your mum cares alittle 'over the top' so-to-speak but at least you know she thinks of you although it's in the way YOUR presence somehow reflects on her...backwards goofy, isn't it?! :) I'm pretty lame tech-wise...I don't do twitter or FB just check emails and swing by here ~ I've got enough going on not to be checking the 'puter every few minutes, lol...and yeah, i don't have an I-Phone or Pad either...I'm low-key and love it. Cheerz and more stuff later...do you ever use the chat site here... I have in the past ...if I cya I'll holler then ...rock on!

Aerobics now is jogging through the greenbelt nearby but will shoot hoops at our church gym sometimes with my girls. You've had alopecia longer than I but def don't dig the idea of a mop=like thing hugging my head. I'm not totalis yet but getting there....rocked the buzz back in '09 but still have some growing...when I arrive at true bald will fall back on my sweet collection of cotton (love that textile!) bandannas, scarfs, and hats. Keep on rockin, Gale..more later, my friend!
