- I lost all my hair just over a year ago ... just before my wedding day! i'm looking for advice on wigs, eyelashes and brows. I've never actually met anyone else who has alopecia. In the last half hour of poking around this website many of you have already inspired me with your confidence, which seems to be something i've lost. so thank you.

I remember blowing my hair dry in the mirror and the blinding white of my scalp caught my eye- that sucked!! It's baaaaacccckkk....

What do you do for your eyelashes and eyebrows? They tattoo's seem like a good option.
I've got something weird going on now - I'm finding very little spots- real small like the end of a pencil erasure - popping up like polka dots around my head. They are not really visible (yet) - and so far they are not getting bigger which is great! but it's a new pattern for me so I don't have a clue what will come of it. Just more to be anxious about- maybe it's time to start drinking more! ha ha.
Are you pretty open about having alopecia? talk freely with those around you?

I have AA. I've had it for many years now. I used to get just one spot at a time but now I have multiple spots. They are kinda of all in different stages currently. Some looking great with lots of re-growth and some new ones just appearing. I get so frustrated with all the loss of control and helplessness of the condition!! I do know it could be worse- so I am grateful that I am still able to cover my spots with my hair. Let's hope that continues! :)
did you lose your hair quickly? or did you have spots that eventually progressed. It's tough no matter when you lose hair but I am sure right before your wedding made it harder! I hope it did not spoil or cause worries on your wedding day!!
do you see ever seen any signs of re-growth?
On a happier note- where did you go for a honey moon?
