- hey there my name is Martha. I was born October 27th. varsity tennis.charger's girl. saint's girl. && eagle's girl. nfl is love. family is important to me. music is my thing. i like reading, but i'm not a bookworm :). i have had alopecia for about 6 years.. the first thing that went was my eyebrows. my mom thought that i had gotten into the nair, but slowly a couple months later my hair started falling out. after we found out it was alopecia, i told my mom to just shave the hair that i still had. i wore a hat for most of my 6th grade year. i was devistated when a boy flipped my hat off in class. my heart sank at that point. luckily my mom worked at my school so i could run to her. in some way alopecia has made me stronger. i still have moments in my life where i have a good cry because i don't have hair, but God wouldn't have given me this disease if he knew i wasn't strong enough to handle it. i appreciate him in so many ways. i'm here on this site to look for friends who are in the same boat as me.
