yea I know .. haha ! I gotta watch not to drink to much during my 2 week periode of taking prednisone pills :S .. 5days letf to go ! I don't wanna gain 20lbs in 15days .. that would suck lol

I have gone through the same sort of treatments (I'm in Toronto Canada -- so the prescriptions were similar). I didn't have much luck but you may have better luck. Don't despair -- if it's to happen it will....

anyway .. I probably lost 1/4 of all my hair but in different area's on the sclap ! I dunno what to do .. shave it all off or pray for hope it will come back with my treatments

I Just have One problem ... I Have alopecia since I tured 18 and im now 21 ! it started by one or two small patches and only took 3months to grow back with no treaments then it got worst and worst so I tryed Minidoxil 2% becaus in canada there isnt 5% :( lol didn't seem to work and cortisone lotion 5% either but the injections shots did seem to work but nothin Like I wanted to. Now Im on prednisone for a 2week periode 50 mg every morning ! I can't wait to see if it will work for me .. !

They didn't work for me.. but perhaps for you.. My scalp blistered up.. sat through injections into eyebrows etc... that got to be a pain in the ****.. so I stopped all treatment.... I even flew to a herbalist in the UK (China Town).. the best in the UK apparantly... the treatment would only cost me the fair price 2000 UK Pounds every 3 months! what a deal.. :) I didn't go for it ..... cause I'm not an idiot :)
His diagnosis included questions related to how sexually active I was -- and that pretty much solidified my professional opinion of him -- right there.... :)
I felt the guy was just 'reaching' for anything that I'd believe is the cause of my problem... :)

Sorry the tablets haven't helped.....yet...
It's my understanding that the prednisone can help regrow hair but that is is only temporary. The disease process needs to shut itself off in order for the hair to regrow. Is this what your Dr told you?
Anyway, just know anything is possible. Hang in there.
