I have eczema as well and often got it around my eyes/eyebrows. I use an OTC cortisone ointment and wash with cool to luke warm water rather than warn/hot. Thus is supposed to be very common with Alopecia but certainly see a derm about it too!

Dry skin around eyes?

Lately I've been losing my eyelashes, strangley enough only on my right eye :/ I've noticed that my eyelids and the skin underneath have been incredibly dry. It looks like I have big bags under my eyes because they have become very puffy as well. Do you think it would be from no eyelashes?See More

Thank you for the kind comments. I am teaching Amanda to be strong through all this. I overheard her telling a boy in the pool the other day about her alopecia when he mentioned her bald spots. She said it very proudly "I have alopecia" I am happy it hasnt gotten to her yet. Hopefully she will continue to be strong.
