Hi Courtney,
How's things my northeast neighbor? I wanted to let you know that we are planning an "Alopecia beauty day" at a boutique in Chelmsford on June 7th as our first official awareness event for our newly incorporated non-profit Alopecia company. They are opening the boutique just for us and we can try on clothes, take lots of pics, and just have fun together. I got at least 40 dress up costumes for the kids. They will look so adorable. We are going to do a buffet brunch at the hotel nearby first and then go to the boutique. I know it will be great!!! Please let me know so we can do a head count for the restaurant reservations.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
Courtney!!!! So great to hear from you! Hows things in the US? What a very cute little girl also - she's beautiful. Congratulations to you both :)
Things around here are still plodding along. My folks are well, and family are great. My twin sister is getting married in October so that's exciting. And i'm coming to the US in August. (Only really hitting New York, New Orleans, LA, Las Vegas and San Francisco though).
Hi Courtney,
Thank you for the compliaments!! My head isn't as bald as it was in the pictures...I decided to let it grow and see what happens. So far, so good. My patches all seem to be growing in...but I won't hold my breath, you never know with this situation!! The long straight wig I purchased through Wilshire Wigs online. The girl I spoke with Amanda, was very helpful. They also helped me to get it into Canada overnight. They are located in Hollywood California. The wig is called "Shilo" made by Noriko. This brand is a little more expensive...but I really like the styles. Another wig I really like was by Revlon...called "Encounter".
The other wig in the picture that my daughter is wearing..the wavy one, was bought through ebay from China. I highly recommend that you don't waste your money!! Unless you want a good laugh!!
I'm sure there are good ones on there...just not for $ 0.68!! lol
I actually don't wear my wig really...I stick to a bandana. More comfortable!
Talk to you again soon!
Hi Courtney,
Thank you for the nice comment about my poem. A couple of friends and I have started an Alopecia non-profit company to promote awareness and support in New England as well as elsewhere. We are planning another get together in Massachusetts in the near future. I love your idea of music and picnic. I would love to meet you. I will keep in touch and hopefully we can iron out some details and get this picnic rolling. You can email me anytime at hottie_dotty@hotmail.com and if you ever need to talk, I'm always here to lend an ear.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty

Hi Courtney,
Welcome to Alopecia World!! I live in NH but am originally from Melrose, MA. Some of us Alopecians in the northeast are getting together in Boston on September 13th for brunch or a luncheon. If you are interested, we'd love to have you join us. Let me know if you are interested as I am trying to get a final count. I hope you consider it.
P.S. Your daughter is absolutely adorable.
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
