- Hey im Gill, im 26 and have had alopecia since i was about ten years old, started to wear a wig at ten aswell and always stuck to wearing them, its just part of me now i suppose! I cope really good with it now as i was so young when i first got alopecia! Im mummy to my 2 gorgeous baby boys... Jack whos 3 in april and Josh whos 1 in may! I love them to bits and being a mummy is the best feeling in the world!!

What type of wig do you wear? I'd like to ultimately wear mine all the time but am new to this. At present I am having a wig cut for me but even so it is too big and I need to order a custom one that I hope will be comfortable and natural looking.

- Hi, Gillian. I am SO GLAD I got my eyebrows tattooed 3 weeks ago. Even though it was excruciatingly painful, there is nothing like waking up in the morning and going through my day with eyebrows. If you look closely at my profile pic, you'll see that one is more arched than the other. But with eyebrow tattoos, they fade over time. The next time I go back, I'll be more diligent about making sure she pencils them in perfectly before tattooing them. I was just so excited to get it done, I didn't look closely enough at the penciling in. For a few days it is pretty scabby and shiny from applying Vaseline constantly, then it flakes off. Here in the US, it cost $600, and it will be $200 any time I need touch-ups.
