I'm from Rhode Island, I am 25 years old. I was diagnosed with Alopecia areata when I was 20. My boyfriend of 10 years was actually the one that noticed it and brought it to my attention. He said "Steph you have a bald spot on the crown of your head".. When I ever took a mirror to a mirror to see it, it changed my life forever!!....
