- HI! I'm Montoya Artese Grant. I live in Detroit Michigan (YAY!!!).. I'm in my second year of college studying Social Work with a minor in Psychology, I'm also working on a Certificate in Child Welfare. I'll be 20 in March so I'm very excited about that and really looking forward to celebrating it. I found out I had Alopecia when i was a freshmen in High School...bad timing right?... I had never even heard of alopecia before I was diagnosed with it in February 2004... Like so many others I've suffered through the countless numbers of cortisone shots...the topical creams and everything in between...none of this "solutions" worked... In 2005 I started going to Hair Club for Men...I was a member of the Hair Club for Kids for 2 1/2 years but had to leave due to financial issues...it was becoming expensive because I was turning 19.... I just recently started wearing wigs and to be honest I'm terrible when it comes to the upkeep of them... But I love to sing, read, write, and do my school work...I'm focused on getting that BSW...lol...well if i can think of any thing else I will be updating....SMOOCHES!

This blog is directed more so towards my ladies than gents but gentlemen please feel free to chime in if you can help out!
For about a year now Ive been shading my eyebrows in. Runny nose

Does anyone else suffer from an extremely runny nose due to the lack of or no nose hair at all????
I have come to the conclusion that my nose is a never ending faucet due to the fact that I have no noise hair and it causes my nose to be sensitive to a lot of things and smells?
PLEASE let me know if any of you guys have experienced or are experiencing this right now.

Hair regrowth! What should I do?

OKAY SO THIS IS KIND OF WEIRD FOR ME...VERY WEIRD FOR ME. ABOUT 2 TO 3 MONTHS AGO I NOTICED THAT I HAD SCATTERED PATCHES OF HAIR ON MY SCALP GROWING, AS WELL AS MY EYEBROWS AND EYELASHES WERE GROWING BACK. NOW I HAVEN'T HAD A STRAND OF HAIR ON MY HEAD FOR ABOUT 2 1/2 -3 YEARS. SO WHEN I FELT THE FINE PIECES OF HAIR ON MY HEAD I FELT WEIRD. I DONT WANT TO GET EXCITED BECAUSE THE DOCTORS HAVE ALL FORWARNED ME THAT IF I EXPERIENCED REGROWTH AND MY HAIR GREW COMPLETELY BACK ITS A VERY HIGH CHANCE… Continue
Eyebrow Tattoo...!

I'm getting my eyebrows tattooed in about two weeks and I just wanted to know what the experience is like...Does it Hurt? Is it uncomfortable?...I'm really excited about it my grandma and auntie are going to pay for it...its their birthday gift for me..I'll be 20 on 3/19! So if anyone can tell me what their experience was like or anyone that they may know experience was like please comment!

I am having a very lets say hard time finding a full lace wig that i can afford. I'm a second year college student whose only source of income at the point is work study and undependable refund checks. I don't want to bother my mother with it because she's getting married in 3 months so all her time and energy has went into paying for her wedding. I don't know much about the Hair Club wigs because I have never gotten one from them. I understand about money though because I recently got a hair transplant from them. I've been looking to get a hair transplant for about ten years now. I finally got it (in payments) and so far I am happy. I was tired of looking for hair loss solutions with none working how I want. I guess I am in the waiting phase but I figured I could post videos and status along the way for others thinking about getting it done.
Are you still using wigs now that you are in college?

Her sister with the hair was donating and cutting her hair off that same day..to make her sister with Alopecia..a prosthetic suction wig..by freedomwigs.
