Hair Transplant

Posted on July 27, 2009 at 5:22pm 4 Comments

As some of you may know, I got a hair transplant 2 months ago. I am curious about those who have Alopecia. I came here for support on my hair loss and know you all support male pattern baldness. I know that hair transplants don't work for you all but if it did, would you consider getting one?

Thanks,

Julian White

Hi Julian,
Well I was a member of Hair Club for Kids which is free until you are 18...when it got very close to my 18th birthday i had to pay every other visit, it was like $100 give or take a few dollars...well once my mother seen the payment plans and how many visits you got with whatever package you picked we realized that we couldnt afford...i believe at the time the cheapest package was like $400 every visit...my family doesnt have that type of money...so once i left hairclub i had hairpieces made for me...but couldnt afford to keep paying someone to make them since i was starting college that upcoming september...as we both know its hard to get your insurance to cover "hair prosthesis" because they view it as a want and not a need in some cases...but money issues were the main reasons i stopped going and at that time Hair Club weren't willing to work with my mother...

Bummer,

Well I guess you'll have to wait and see what they say.
Hope you are having a good Friday.
