- I lost my hair when i was about 15-16 I am now 34 years old.When I first last my hair,I was devastated.I was in denial for a long time and chose to wear hats instead of wigs.I used to have trouble letting people know I was bald,but as I grew older,I figured if people didn't like me for who I was then i didn't need them.I have had this disease many years and sometimes it "teases" me by letting hair grow on my arms,or a few eyelashes,or even a few scalp hairs just to fall back out again.
