Was just reading in Womens Health Mag about a girl who has alopecia who used a squaric acid treatment on her scalp and it grew her hair back. It didn't grow back as thick as it once was but it did come back.I did a little online research and the treament is most effective on patients who have areata as apposed to totalis and universalis. Hi Marieca! To answer your question, I met my fiance prior to developing alopecia. He has been here through all my ups and downs and witnessed the different changes that I went through. It is very important to have a REAL support system. I do want to say one thing and that to not allow alopecia to change your social or love life. Be upfront and remember to be yourself. I've learned that being myself is what attracts the right people who really loves me for me and not my hair.
