Hi Jeffrey! I'm glad you wrote. I am about to post a happy hour in Austin Thursday, April 19th, 6p at Vivo's on Manor Road. Hope you can make it!

Nothing as official as a support group right now, but a few of us get together for drinks at Chuy's every now and then. I'll let you know when the next little get together is :)

Hi Jeffrey, no problem. And fyi - the closest NAAF support group is in San Antonio. The next get together will be a holiday party on Sunday, Dec. 11. If you'd like more information - just let me know!

Hi Jeffrey! Nice to see a longhorn on here. I got my Master's from UT a few years ago and live right outside of Austin. If you are interested in local get togethers, I'll keep you posted. Hook 'em! ;)

No, problem. You'll have a great time if you can make it.

Yes, you are right that the conference isn't cheap, esp. when you figure in the airfare. But, if you get the chance to go, you should do it. Alopecia can be very isolating, and many of us don't really personally know anyone else with it in our area. If you want to feel like your part of an alopecia family, you will at the conference. Next year it will be in LA, which may be closer for you. :)

Well, that's great, Jeffrey. I've been on this site for a litte over a month, plus I recently went to the conference. The people that belong to AW are so kind; it really is like a family. No one understands what it's like to have alopecia unless they have it. Take care :)
