I am so desperate I would probably try anything my husband wants me to get hair extensions, but I am afraid the extra strain and trauma to my head and hair will worsen the hair loss more quickly. Can you tell me more? I love my wig, but the ability to go swimming, to the gym (which I really need to do! LOL) and to be able to wear hair up and down is a VERY exciting idea. I too have some ok hair at the sides and back, which blend in nicely for my wigs. But how does the lace hair system work?

I know how hard alopecia can be; I have had it for about 30 years. Let me know if you need help or support. One thing that you might be interested in is my book, written for women, called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" (It just won two national awards!) It has a lot of good info in it, it can answer many questions, and it's a fun read, too. You can find out more on my page. It's available on Amazon.com, and on this site under "Bookshelf."
