I have been diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. A small patch started at the side of my head and in 3 months about 85% of my hair had fallen out. Whenever I have seen photos of other people with Alopecia it looks as though the spot where the hair had fallen out is completely bald (smooth to the scalp) That has not been the case with me. - Well I am a 30 year old mother of 2 amazing children, 7 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. I split with their father when my son was 3 months, went back to work when he was 7months and got engaged (to someone else) at Christmas. Needless to say it has been quite the year for me.
