Laser treatment for Alopecia Ohiasis??

Hi allSo..., I started laser treatment. 6 months course including laser treatment, shampoo, spray and minoxidil. Shampoos and spray are supposed to "stimulate" scalps and so does laser treatment. But after seeing the laser machine (image below), I am in doubt about it's effectiveness.... I mean, it looks cheap in fact I found this machine online for US$1,500 - 2,000. My 6 months treatment course costs £1,500! Oh come on!!(Once a week for the first 4 weeks and after, once in two weeks. Each…See More

"Hi, not sure how "contained" your life really is but, if that is the case online could be useful to meet people. But again, dating sites only have 90% of the guys who are after sex, and 9% of the scammers who are after your money, to meet…"

"Ah I missed the part about money, then it is 100% that they are scammers. Do NOT send money and BLOCK without telling them that now you are aware that they are the scammers. Likely, those are from west Africa, leading up to the story that they will…"

Profile Information

Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
About Me:
44yo female suffering from advanced alopecia ohiasis. Had first hair loss issue in 2008 with stress related thinning hair (wasn't alopecia yet) lost about 40% of my hair. Year later, lost about 90% by thinning again and wore a wig for a year and everything came back after I got rid of the stressor without trying any treatment at all however it left a small patch near my neck.

In 2014 that small patch grew to alopecia ophiasis and had few steroid treatment over several years. It worked for first few times but not for last few. (Continued injection for 6 months)

Now my ophiasis expanded again after hormone injections for IVF in February and started for a laser treatment for the first time - June 2020

Looks like I tend to have diffusing (thinning) when I receive stress, but I've lived “stress-free” life since my ohiasis started so diffusion and ohiasis seem to have different causes for me...
Do you have alopecia?
Alopecia areata
Are you age 18 or older?
Yes - I am 18 or older
