Yes, I understand that they have isolated eight genes which cause alopecia!
It's very exciting. I am not sure they will have the cure yet...this probably will involve stem cells. I did a lot of research on this while I was writing my book, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" I hope you will keep us all in the loop as far as the latest findings are!
