Botox and FFA

Hi Everyone: I remember there is a women on here who connected Botox to FFA. I was given the article, Frontal Alopecia after Repeated Botulinum

This is a very small study but seems to link at least a type of FFA with Botox.

I have gotten botox a few times in the past however, I have the other indications of FFA such as scale, redness etc so I think I have the full blown type as opposed to one brought on by botox.

That being said, I didnt get any botox for fear it would make my hair loss worse.  

Im trying a new derm, maybe she will have other ideas!

Botox, it's definitely a concern for those of us who have gotten it in the past. I've also heard about this study linking Botox to FFA, so it's something to keep in mind for sure. However, as you mentioned, there are other indications of FFA beyond just hair loss, so it's good to be aware of all of the symptoms. I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to share my experience with FFA as well. I haven't tried Botox before, but I have been exploring other treatments like fillers.

I'm considering trying their filler treatment, so I'll definitely keep everyone posted on my progress.
