As an artist I've always enjoyed exploring ideas and asking questions through various mediums. From film, photography, stage plays to painting I love using these as doors to present questions to the world. Lord willin', sometime in 2009 I'll be able to put the art piece on exhibit.

I'd like to get some ideas from my fellow alopecians about some projects that you'd like to see featuring bald women. Honesty is appreciated.

How about a man and a bald woman sharing various displays of affection with each other (hugging, kissing, cuddling, etc.) ? Basically the premise is to showcase the genuine love and attraction towards each other. It could even compass a series of artwork.

Leon,
I love the idea of an art painting exhibit with a series of paintings showing the difference of beauty that alopecia women and men show in everyday life! :) We all wear different looks and you could show a series of emotions in each painting of that series; for example...an alopecia looking in the mirror as the "reality look" person and seeing themselves as something different. You could show the precariousness in our self-esteem fights within…along the coping matters, the list could go on and on there are oh so many emotions that can be show through painting using an alopecia woman on the center stage…
Do your thing and show our beauty to the world! :)
P.S. I want to know when you get some finished; I would love to come see them!

Love the whole art & alopecia idea! I think film or photography would best capture the essence of alopecia. It is easiest for most people to pay attention to and there is no disciphering the meaning of the art - it's kinda there in your face. Even a human display with all the painted heads you can gather would be awesome! Keep us posted, this is very interesting!
