I'm sorry but that was a rude comment I happen to have a private fenced yard and all I wanted to know if it was ok. What is so wrong with that??

I dont think it would be an issue- but I am not sure if sun fades synthetics or not. It seems it would air the wig out - but I also know they make a product that you use to refresh a syn wig - it is not hairspray but an odor eliminator and refresher. If you did not want the smoke smell to get into your wig you could place the wig in a room you never smoke - like your childrens room when they are at school. Open the window and let the natural air help refresh the wig. Personally I would not be a fan of setting my wig outside - I am not interested in my neighbors seeing my hair on display - but that is just me.

LLM - just make sure you hubby knows you are planning on setting your wig outside at night so he does not think there is someone is your backyard!!! LOL I have woke up to my wig on the stand in my bedroom in the middle of the night and thought it was a person! I moved the stand to my bathroom after that! Ah, the life of a wiggy. : )

No problem with it that I can see. If its synthetic the sun won't fade it.I'm unaware of the product LB suggested. Smoke gets in clothes, hair, everything and my guess is your family is already used to the smell. When I've been out among smokers I notice my jacket/clothes absorb the smell and I leave them out overnight on the back deck which aires them out well.

The best advice I could think of was to say - Ditch the ciggies! They are very very BAD for you and everyone else in your household.
Back in the days when I wore a wig and smoking in bars was not against the law (distant memory now) I used to peg my wig outside to get a good airing after a night out, fabric refeshers like fabreeze also do the trick but don't spray too much!!!
