Do you shave your head or have someone do it for you?

Just wondering.....does anyone out there shave their own head or do you pay someone to shave it? If you do shave, do you use a razor or a barber set of clippers?

Lady's electric shaver for now...and I can do it myself.

Is it that difficult to do? Do you also color your hair? I go to a salon now to have my head shaved with a #2 barber's clip which leaves a little hair, and she colors what little hair I do have left in case my wig should happend to slip.

Easy. I was paying $10/month to dye my sideburns and crown hair to match my brunette wig, but ran out of money and didn't like the white roots (AT and AU returning hair is often white), so I just bought a blond wig with dark roots (to match my eyebrows), and saved the money. If the white sideburns show, at least they sort of match my wig now. I may just stick with blond wigs, and eventually go to a jazzy gray someday.

TG, do you mind if I ask you what wig you are wearing in your profile picture. I love it and it is drop dead gorgeous.

I find it easier to do it myself, I bought a man's electric razor and some nice female shaving cream and works like a charm, I also use a mirror on mirror if you know what I mean so I can see what I'm doing to the back of my head.

I use an electric Norelco men's face shaver - the foil kind - and it works great. I just started doing it myself this week. No shaving cream necessary and it gets pretty darn close to the scalp, almost as good as my Gillette Proglide razor. I will use the razor if I really need it to be to the scalp, and I use Aveeno shaving cream. I do what Lisa-Lynn does and use a mirror to see the back of my head in the other mirror so I know if I've gotten it all. I usually shave every other day.

I use a headblade plus headslick shaving gel, in the shower, usually by myself. It's quick & nicks are rare. My local drugstore usually has it. I rinse the razor several times, and change blades pretty often, and my skin doesn't get irritated.

I shave my head myself. It takes some practice but once you are used to it, it is easy. I suggest getting the HeadBlade from Walgreen's. It was developed for men who shave their head. I find it very easy to use and it gives a good shave. I shave mine every other day. I've never cut myself. I use men's sensitive shave gel because I have found it is much better than women's sensitive gel. If you use the HeadBlade, you might have to use a regular razor for the bottom of your neck and around your ears. You can do it yourself if I did! :)
