Hey all,
In my posts I wrote about how my hair is coming back. However, right now I'm as bald as can be! All of the hair growing progress is gone.
Its a relief to not have patches to shave off anymore. Its official... I enjoy being bald more so than having hair.

The Story:
Yesterday, my professor, fellow students, and I were waiting in the hallway for a classroom to open up. My professor made a comment about nicely groomed eyebrows. I explained that I drew them on every day and that I also wear wigs. She said she knew about the eyebrows, but not about the wig. She proceeded to apologize for putting me on the spot about it. An old roommate standing next to me said, "She's very open about it." This is VERY true. She and I started to tell stories about our freshman year of college. Most of the girls on the dorm floor came into my dorm room and put on the wigs. It was such a great time. My old roommate started to describe some of my wigs and how much fun everyone had. It was nice to hear that the experience in my dorm room was such a positive and memorable one.

Having alopecia creates an opportunity for others to experience something outside of the norm. It is easy to create a fun environment, such as the one in my old dorm room, where people can learn and make great memories.

I hope everyone is doing well! Take care.
