Another UPDATE on Devin; 2 months later

His little head is covered with hair with the exception of the orginal bald spot he had. That area is still covered with the fine white baby hair. Other than that, he's been doing great.

Building a roof update

Last night was our first missionary meeting. From January 19 to 29, 2011 I will be heading to Nebaj, Guatemala. I had been asked by a coworker prior to the meeting why I would go to another country to help people when there are people here that need help. After the meeting I now know how to answer that question - because they need it more! The rivers are apparently filled with waste from a very primitive sewage system and there is garbage everywhere because the only dump is in Guatemala city… Continue

Haven't been on here in forever!

I barely ever get on here, mainly becuase I forgot I even had an account until I got an email from them. So I guess I will talk about what's going on with me currently. With alopecia, I have not had any hair growth in more than 5 years. I am actually used to it and just wear a wig full time. It's kind of like a security blanket for me and I barely ever take it off, which is totally fine with me because I don't feel a need to not wear it. Biopsy Day / Life Update

Hi everyone!

So today I had my scalp biopsy. I went in fearing how badly the procedure would hurt. My mom went in afraid of how much hair they would remove. Frankly, I didn't give a flying fig about that, just as long as I can get an answer as to what type of hair loss I have. (They only took about 5 - 7 hairs from the root, and it didn't hurt at all!)

Discharged from my consultant!!!!!!!!!!

The weekend was pretty poor really. Daughter trouble! How they can make life difficult! Who would think that a 16 year old girl who is loved and looked after so well could cause so a bad weekend but she did!



Regardless of the problems it was going to be a low key weekend really apart from a concert in Manchester on Saturday evening. I had shaved my head on Friday morning and then left it for the full weekend as I was going to see my consultant on the Monday morning. By Monday morning… Continue

AA Update 5/20/08

Since my diagnosis on 5/2/08 when I had 4 bald spots, I now have 14.



Since my last blog with pics, here are the new ones...



Number 11 is new...small for now
