Hi Nappylee! I'm Shenette, I'm 29 and I've had alopecia since I was 4, similar to you. Just when I think I'm the only one, God always seems to put someone in my path, to show me I'm not alone. I completely understand how you must feel. It's frustrating and difficult at times, and to this day I still battle the difficulties of having no hair. I haven't had a full head of hair since I was 4. I lost it completely at about 9, and had to turn to wigs. It's been rough, I've had good days along with the bad, but today all those experiences have made me a stronger person. It has taught me that hair doesn't mean anything. People will love us regardless of whether we have hair or not. People look up to us because of our courage and strength to get through the tough days.
