"I agree with Aimee, everyone is different and not all medications will have the same effect. Just like Cindy, the steroid shots helped me short term, but I eventually lost more and more hair...my doctor actually asked me if I wanted to get cortisone…"

I have Alopecia Universalis. I used to think it was "just hair", then I started losing it on the top of my head (first missing patch of hair in August 2010)...then I lost my eyebrows and then the hair on my arms and legs (all gone by May 2011)...it's not just hair.
