- I am 27 years old and recently got engaged to my dream man. I am an artist. I have amazing family and friends. I love to laugh and try not to take things too seriously but my recent loss of hair has tested my positive spirit. I have several medical conditions (including thyroid) that have caused me to loss 3/4 of my hair over the past 2 years. And as it continues to shed I am on a constant search for a doctor that can help me but have recently accepted that this might just be a journey that I need to go on with no solution in the end. I am looking for a community of people who understand that hair does not make who you are and can lift me up on the days that feel really hard.
