Hey all,It's been a few months since I've been online so I thought I would log in here today. I have had AU since around March of this year but over the last few months, my hair has been growing back all over my body. My lashes, arm hair etc are all coming back. The hair on my head is coming back too but it is growing back in patches. im noticing the same thing! i dont know if its ingrown hairs or what, but they are pretty painful & seem to only be on the sides of my head... i hope someone tells you a good answer because im waiting to read it! lol

- I am 27 years old, bubbly, fun, great job. In August 2009, I noticed a tiny bald patch on the top of my head. It got bigger gradually and in Dec I started finding more bald patches. Over the last month (March 2010) I have started to lose hair all over my body, including lashes and brows. The only place I don't seem to have been affected on are my arms. I still have all the tiny hairs there. I now have went from having alopecia areata to having alopecia universalis.

Hey all,
I was just wondering something and this might be a weird question, but has anyone experienced ingrown hairs where they have lost hair but gaining some regrowth? I have noticed a few marks on my skin and this is the only explanation I can think of.

Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've been on here but I have a few questions and was hoping to get some advice.
I am currently wearing monofilament wigs and am going to Seville in Spain for 4 weeks with work and it is due to be very hot. I was wondering if anyone has been to a hot climate and found wearing their wig to be uncomfortable? I have been wearing wigs since January this year and have experienced no discomfort so far and hoping things will stay like… Continue

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if someone could give me some information on false lashes. My eyelashes are starting to fall out and i wanted to know which false lashes are the best. Ideally I am looking for some that are able to stay on for a few days at a time, maybe longer. I'm not even sure if these exist? I am also wondering what wigs would be best if I wanted to wear my hair in a ponytail or something. I have monofilament wigs that I love but I can only wear them in a low… Continue

- Hey Sarah, no worries :) It's good to hear from you! For me, I've been on oral steroids and am having some small fine growth of hair and my eyebrows are growing back in. BUT! as you know with Alopecia, there is no cure so I've accepted that when I've stopped my treatment, it might fall out again and that's fine with me :) Just taking it a step at a time and still enjoying all my wigs :) Its so good that you're handling it much better than you thought! I mean, being mentally prepared always helps and I'm sure being positive helps too. Hugs!
