- I have been living with Alopecial universalus, on and off since the age of 14.
I had complete hairgrowth, (well, almost) for 12 years, when 6 years ago, it re-struck. I am completely without hair (including body hair) for 5 years now.
Not doing any treatments at the moment. Doctors in Greece refused to treat me with cortizone injections, which had worked in the past. Oral cortizone did nothing this last time. Trying to come to terms with the fact, that I will never again have hair.

Thanks for all the info about fake eyelashes - maybe I will give them a try again. Last time I tried it I could not get them to stay on at all! I got my eyeliner tatooed on and love it - but I still really miss having eyelashes.
I also had my eyebrows tatooed a light brown but they did not last. I've been drawing them on every day. I am getting better at it :)

Gloria S. said… - Hi! Thanks for responding back so quick! I don't know the doctor in Athens, as this treatment was done many years ago. The girl is now a grown woman and never had a relapse. My pithida knows the family and called them once she found out she had undergone the same treatment as my daughter. Also, there is another woman on here that has had it done when she was younger and it too worked out well for her.
I have heard wonderful things of this treatment. It is kind of like DCP...but this is called Squaric Acid (SDBE). You should start calling some dermatologists in your area and see if they have heard of this treatment. It is an old treatment, but with a high percentage of success.
I hope to communicate with you more. It is soooo cool that we can communicate like this from different countries!!!
