I am new to this site and so excited to "meet" so many people dealing with this issue (though I wish none of us had to at all!)I have alopecia totalis (had alopecia areata since age 4, which progressed to totalis at age 23) and lost my eyebrows about 4 1/2 years ago. I had them tattoed on and they've faded with time. I'm going for a second tattoeing in a few weeks and am SO nervous. I just keep remembering how much it hurt the last time. Bleh.
