- I am a 39 year old African American woman. I have dealt with alopecia cicatrical (central centifical) since I was like 4 years old. I love life and I love the Lord, my kids and my guy. Honestly, though, this issue with my hair has been troubling to my self confidence level. I have been to many support groups in order to overcome my issues. I know that support groups work, as God uses us to heal each other through his love and positive energy. Something dawned on me that now that there may be people healing each other in an alopecia support group as well, so here I am. I hope to find an alopecia support group for women in the Atlanta, GA area.
