Hello everyone :)
I am new to this site, I just joined about 5 mins ago lol. I have had alpecia for 22 years since I was 7 years old. I am wondering if anyone is familiar with the Virtual Reality hair and what do you think of it? I am researching it but of course the site will totally promote its product. I have met a lady who works at a salon where they do the Virtual Reality hair, and uses it herself as well, and she has spent a lot of time explaining it to me. I would just like a few other opinions as well. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing what other people think! Thanks! Amber

From what I know, its an undetectable hair system made with a special base called dermalense. they use human hair as well. It has to be replaced on average of 3-4 times a year but is included in the cost I beleive. I have used the lace wigs in the past and have been greatly dissapointed because of the quality of the hair with the particular one that I got. I had a lot of trouble with the adhesives as well. I have gone back to regular wigs for the time being but if you look up "virtual reality hair" on google you will find quite a bit of info on them. The nearest salon that offers the services is in Calgary which is at least an 8 hour drive from where I live. So I am just doing my homework before I make the commitment to go.

Virtual Reality is nothing out of the ordinary. It's just a well-advertised, and expensive version of a product that is available elsewhere for much, much less money. They use all sorts of nonsense terminology, like: "The technique involves applying an invisible, non surgical derma lens like a contact lens into which human hair is inserted, compatible in color, density, curl pattern, texture, etc. " A "Derma Lens"? Are they kidding??? Translation: It is a ThinSkin base.
Here's another ridiculous statement: "The artistry of expert technicians at Certified Concept Studios, trained in our specialized procedures". The translation of this statement is: "we teach people how to glue a hairpiece onto the client's head".
Many high-end sellers like Virtual Reality like to use pseudo-medical and/or pseudo hi-tech terminology to make you think they are offering something that other companies don't offer. It's misleading and manipulative.
