Amber - I've had similar issues. I've lost pretty much all my hair (including eyelashes and eyebrows) this past summer and noticed a lot of dry patches not just near my eyes but also in other places. I attributed it to sunburn but when I visited my doctor, she said it was eczema. Apparently that's a common for a lot of folk with alopecia. Not saying that's what you have but may be worth a check up?

I have eczema as well and often got it around my eyes/eyebrows. I use an OTC cortisone ointment and wash with cool to luke warm water rather than warn/hot. Thus is supposed to be very common with Alopecia but certainly see a derm about it too!

I also read somewhere that people who have alopecia also very often suffer with eczema as well. strange I think lol. I've had eczema since I was very small, and had alopecia since I was 7 and will be 32 in the new year. I have been using spectro eczema care, and make sure to use a gentle cleanser (usually aveeno) and it seems to help a bit. i also live in a very dry winte climate, which doesnt' always help speed the healing process lol.
