Hi all, I was wondering what type of treatments, if any you guys have tried. I have only had thesteroid injections to no avail. What else is out there that you've tried?

Biotin,, Low level laser light, Rogaine, Accupuncture, Spiro (Rx) Prednisone orally - I think it has helped me retain the hair I have but not too much for regroth. I think the Rogaine has helped me the most. I have chronic T/E, FPB and AA. I am so lucky to have the trifecta (sp?) of hair loss - Go me. NOT

Oh I knew if I waited long enough I'd think of more treatments I've tried...
Micro pigmentation of the eyebrows/lashes/scalp, wigs, NaPCA, and various cosmetic topical treatments consisting of various lengths of hair. DermMatch, Couvre and Exfusion. I'm sure I'll think of more. Off to trim the brows!

Seems like I tried it all back in the day. I finally gave up when none of them had any long term impact. The ones that I remember are steroid injections - lots in my eyebrow and scalp. Then moved to 'poison ivy' in a bottle then finally several rounds of immunosuppressants. I had the best re-growth with the immunosuppressants but also had the strangest side effects (hot water felt cold, feet were always freezing...) The last round of suppressants made me feel physically ill so I decided to go bald!

Oh Jeffrey I forgot all about Toppix, DermMatch and Couvre, I also used Lattise for my hair line and it worked great- until I developed an alergy to it!

Hi! What worked the best for me was oral cortisone in pulse therapy (It means that I took cortisone orally on Saturdays and Sundays only, not the other days of the week, it is supposed to limit the side effects of cortisone). All my hair grew back within 6-9 months of treatment. The problem was the side effects: weight gain, water retention, red and puffy face, frequent illnesses and tiredness, more hairs all over the body and face and also that usually this treatment cannot be continued for more than 1 - 1.5 year and when I stopped, all my hair fell out again, but it is not the case for everybody. It seems that for some people, the hair will not fall out again... I also tried methotrexate injections (which I had to do myself, once a week in my belly fat), it had some results on my hair, but not as much as the oral cortisone and worse side effects. Anyway, I think that everybody has to try for themselves as the outcome might be very different from people to people. Good luck to you.
