Hi Everyone!

I haven't been on here in soooo long!! I have been really busy....

Updates:

Well, my hair (my 2 spots) have completely grown in, and I stopped using the lotions/creams months ago. I haven't seen the derm in a looong time, because I don't think I need to anymore. No more new spots have occured. I am tempted to get excited that my alopecia areata was a one-time stressed induced event, but I am not going that route yet. Every once in awhile I get nervous about it and check my head, or have my husband do it :-)

Also, I am almost 6 months along in my pregnancy now, and it's a BOY! Early on I was doing ultrasounds on myself at work with the other nurses (hey, the ER can be slow sometimes!) and we could clearly see boy parts, but it was officially confirmed about 3 weeks ago at the doctor. I am up 18 pounds (yikes!) which is something I am trying to not freak out about, and it's getting uncomfortable to sleep at night. But other than that, I have to admit I've had a pretty easy pregnancy...no sickness or anything- just a growing belly! Oh, and prenatal vitamins do WONDERS got your hair!

I am posting some recent pics....they are really big on here but I am posting them anyway!

Me at 22 weeks...

Hi Amy,
Your story is very encouraging to me!! I am getting married in 10 months and recently was diagnosed with AA. I have one spot about a quarter size (or a little bigger) that (I think) is starting signs of regrowth. I also just noticed a small spot at the base of my head similar to where yours was. I was just wondering if you still haven't had any more episodes?? I'm assuming not since you haven't posted but if you could let me know that would be helpful! :) Thanks!
