HELLO SISTERS OF ALOPECIA WORLD...

I THANK GOD FOR THIS SITE THAT HAS BEEN AN ECOURGMENT. I ONLY BEGAN TO WEAR MY BALDNESS ON THIS FRIDAY. I FELT SO FREE WITHIN BECAUSE I WAS EMBRACING WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN TO ME. HE TRULY GAVE ME HAIR BUT FIVE YEARS AGO IT BEGAN TO DISAPPEAR. I WORE THE WIGS, THE WEAVE AND TRYING TO CONTINUE TO OBTAIN THE LOOK I WAS ACCUSTOMED TO. I AS A WOMAN DID NOT GO WITH MY HAIR UNDONE. BUT, GOD ALLOWED ME TO REALIZE THAT HAIR DOES NOT A CHRISTIAN MAKE. HE LOVES ME WITH HAIR OR WITHOUT AND IT IS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE... I WENT TO CHURCH TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH MY BEAUTIFUL BALDNESS. I WAS TRULY AMAZED AT THE COMPLIMENTS GIVEN AND HOW OTHER WOMEN HAVE HAIR LOSS AS I DID. SO, I HAD A OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK ABOUT ALOPECIA. I THANK GOD FOR ALLOWING TO TRULY REALIZE WHO HE IS IN ME AND I IN HIM. I KNOW WHO I AM IN CHRIST.

It is hard to separate our outer appearance from our inner being... we are much more than our physical appearance....we just forget.

Hi Jean, congratulations on embracing your freedom to go out in public the way God made you. I'm working on my steps too. I embraced the concept of independence day by 1st joining this website and posting a picture of myself (with a hat--but you get the idea--this was still a big step for me and my son said my picture looked "really cool") Today--actually yesterday as I see it is now July 5th, I went swimming with my son at a family picnic with just one of my son's du-rags on my head. We had so much fun playing and horsing around in the pool. He said it was the best time he's ever had with me swimming. So my liberating myself (gradually) is also improving the quality of my relationship with me son too. I hope to get the courage to go to my church some day and show my "crowning glory." God bless you! This site has been an encouragement to be also. Thanks for sharing.

HI RODELI, IT IS SO GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU AND YOUR SON WAS RIGHT, YOU DO LOOK COOL IN THE HAT. BUT, I APPLAUD YOU FOR TAKING THE STEPS YOU DID. IT'S NOT REALLY EASY AS IT SEEMS. I STARTED FIVE YEARS AGO GETTING TO THE PLACE I AM NOW. SO, DON'T GIVE UP AND TRUST THE LORD GOD TO GET YOU THROUGH, IF YOU WANT IT AND TRUST HIM , HE WILL DELIVER YOU.... I WILL KEEP YOU IN MY PRAYERS. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. ENJOY YOURSELF AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING AS WELL, I NEED ALL I CAN GET TOO....
