On Thursday I had the pleasure of taking Samantha on a surprise field trip. We had just left our play date at a museum and off in the car I told her I had a surprise for her. When I pulled into her old hair dresser she was so happy and wondering if Jackie would remember her. It had been 2 yrs since her last haircut. Of course Jackie was so happy to see her and said looks at those curls. Jackie was awesome. She shaped her hair and did not touch the hair near the last baldest area. Sam had the biggest smile on her face I had tears of joy and sadness. The sadness of not knowing if this is the first and last haircut. Jackie made Sam feel good and told her she had the new "IN" haircut. She looks so adorable. Samantha starts school on Sept 2nd and is very much looking forward to showing everyone her new look. She has not seen any of her classmates all summer. Her eyebrows are also coming in so the excitement of it all is high in the house. However, Sam is very grounded. She knows and understands that her hair can fall out again and is fine with it either way....I am so lucky to have a girl with alot of self confidence. She always wants to be there for Alopecia friends no matter what!!! We are so proud of her..

Truly a gift from heaven to us all! A girl with so much passion and zest for life is certainly a great asset to the society! I am very proud of Samantha too! I'm blessed to know such strong young girl like herself!

wow you're girl sounds so lovely and she's really showing real strength even though she is still so young. I'm so happy that her treatment seems to be working though and it's grown in for her :)
