"Hey Lexie. You are absolutely right. It is what is... there aren’t any answers. I do have this wish that I can find some peace with it. I had to find a new primary dr after mine retired. She commented on my cute new hairstyle today. I had a…"
"I really wonder why people on here keep searching for answers, subject themselves to poking, prodding, and the expense, and to come up with no conclusive answer. Doctors don't know why we lose our hair. It is what it…"
I’ve seen so many doctors over the years and so many tests and different opinions. Most just shrug their shoulders and say they have no idea. Undefined Alopecia is the last diagnosis I had five years ago. I quit going to doctors and asking for help. I don’t even tell them now I am wearing a wig. I accept that I have to put the wig on every day , but I hate it! I never let anyone see me without it. I wear a cap to bed. I don’t even let my husband see me without the cap. I want to be me again. Anyone have a reaction to the products used to keep the wig from slipping? I’ve been using It Stays and got 2b glue and I’m getting itchy sores on my head. Wig caps slide right off underneath the wig. My bio hair is too thin and fragile to use clips . I don’t have the courage to wear a scarf or hat out in public. Any suggestions? Thank youSee More
I have very thin hair. It started when I was about 13. It would get very thin and then it would grow back. It has been like this my whole adult life until the last two years. Now I have to wear a wig. I have never received any diagnosis. My rheumatologist and two dermatologist and an endocrine doctor all have no idea. Just take more vitamins they all said. I've had some regrowth in the last couple months, but my hair is in no way normal looking. It's like baby hair. Every day is a struggle to stay positive. I'm losing all interest in any life outside my house. I wear the stupid wig , but I hate it.
