I know what you mean about sore eye!! i constantly have sore and itchy eyes. i wear false eyelashes every day (natural looking ones) they took some getting used to but i find during the day they help keep dust n things out of my eyes... i dont know if you ever wear false eyelashes but i've just bought a new waterproof glue - it's brilliant!! £3.05 7g it's called lashgrip!! also, you might be interested if you've lost your eyebrows a website called Nubrow.com (very very tempted to buy some eyebrows lol!! sounds funny but they look good x

I'm from Norfolk. I have to say one thing that really annoys me is having to shave my legs...if only we could choose where the hair loss occurs!!! Its a bit strange not having eye lashes, I find my eyes get really sore, possibly cos theres nothing to stop the dust getting in them.

I understand how you feel, I started losing my eyebrows and eye lashes a few weeks ago...not nice! Where are you from?

Hi all,
I'm 24, mother of 2 have been married for just over a year and have lost every single strand of hair on my body. I started losing it 3 weeks before my second son was born - oct 2010 and within 12 weeks i have lost everything (including eyelashes and eyebrows - thats the part i REALLY REALLY hate, i look so silly)
Anyway, i just wanted to say it was nice to see some people of my own age with the same problem! unfortunately i have to wear a wig full time as unlike Ellie and Nathan i certainly do NOT look bitchin in hats lol (you're VERY lucky!!)

I'm 24 (and hoping I still count as a young adult!!!) I have had AT since 2009, some people are cool with it, other people are ass holes but thats life! Like Nathan I look bitching in hats! x

Hey :) I'm Liz, I'm 19 and I live in Nottingham. I've had alopecia for 10 or so years now. I don't wear wigs, but i do wear scarfs and hats when it is too hot or cold :) xx

Heyy! My names Sian, Im 17..18 in a month, Im living in West Yorkshire at the moment.. Found out i have alopecia areata 2months ago.. I havent really gone out much since i found out lol! don't think im ready for people to find out yet.. people in my area are quite scared of different things and i no people will react negatively and i dont think il be able to handle it .. ino im a wimp lol. How is everyone else doing? and how have you coped so far? :) take care xx
