Hi Donna, not long ago on a discussion of Thea's I gave a link for a great step-by-step eyebrow tutorial. I just found it so I'll copy what I wrote then:

I never paid much attention to my brows before about 10 years ago. I'd been in a drama at my church and had darkened my natural brows (light blonde) with mascara and for the first time saw how incredibly thick they were. Shortly after that I fortuitously saw a segment on Good Morning America or Today about shaping one's brows.

The benefit of thick brows is you can create an arch better than those with thin brows. On the flip side if you have no brows you're working with a blank canvas and can do whatever you want. I had considered that should I lose them I would create a stencil of sorts once I had determined my best brow so adding them would not be a chore.

If you're going to draw on your brows here is a tutorial for shaping them. The good news is drawing is less painful than tweezing!

One quick adendum: You might want to put powder over your drawn on brows to set the pencil and reduce the risk of smearing.

I use an eyebrow kit that I got at Sephora called "Anastasia." It is absolutely fantastic! It comes with stencils and everything and is very realistic looking.

Hello,

I found that following the shape of your eye works best. And I prefer to mix different shades of an eyebrow color kit by Trucco, instead of using pencil. (It comes with 3 brown shades which allows you to mix the color you need. I love it!) And then free hand them on. If I see I made a wrong mark I just wipe that section off with a wet q tip.

Well I use a revolving eyelines from Mabelline or Ravlon to draw eyebrows. I dont use any stencil. I just make them with my thinking.

Because my eyebrows are tattooed but have lightened over the years, I use pental brown and dark grey markers to put in strokes that simulate hair. After I use pur mineral powder to lessen the hard edges. I am able to go the entire day with out re-touching or worrying about smearing.

I use Anastasia brow powder (get a lighter shade than you think you need, it goes on darker) and I got stencils from eyebrowz which were great. They had some narrower ones as I found many stencils huge and I dont have a small face. However, I still get steroid injections in my brows so I have some hair there and I usually freehand it with that as a guide. Also use shelaq sealer.
