I've been trying for some time to locate anyone in Allentown, PA (women especially) who are willing to be supportive friends for each other. But no luck. Apparently i am the only one who really looks in the mirror every day. So i am here now, looking for new friends, either from my area or not. Bonus if from my area :) Speak up if you're here!! :)

Hi, Nancy:

I'm in Harrisburg. It' s a distance from Allentown, but it's in Pennsylvania......
Thanks for the reply Cindie:)
Well, Harrisburg....i guess i'm getting closer, lol. Have you ever been to Allentown? Can't imagine why, but thought i'd ask. I have been to Harrisburg several times to the Farm Show arena. They have the most wonderful Horse World Expo there annually. It's a horse person's dream world!

Hi, Nancy:

Because of the nature of my job, there aren't too many cities in PA that I haven't been to. I've been to the ABE area quite a few times over the last 20 years....but Bethlehem is my favorite of the three cities. I've been to the Allentown Fair.....saw Earth, Wind, and Fire.....awesome.

Personally, I think the Lehigh Valley would be a cool place to live. Close to New York, close to the Poconos, close to Philly.......
Just happened to drop in right after you left, Cindie :)
I love living in the Lehigh Valley (though i'd like to get out of the city). I used to live in Delaware, was on my way to move to San Diego, stopped to visit a friend in Macungie, Pa...and the rest is history. I think most people would like Bethlehem best; there's more to do there. Allentown has it's perks though, so i'm happy enough here. Only thing i miss is being close to a beach. That's a willing sacrifice though as PA has provided my real heart's desire: horses. I don't own one anymore; but, i still have friends who do. So, any time i need to get that fragrance "Eau de Manure" up my nose, i always have a close place to go, lol.
What kind of work do you do that allows you so much travel? (if you don't mind me asking)

Just saw your allentown headline, thought i'd say hello. I used to live in the lehigh valley. I was just there a month ago, for the first time in years. I really missed the beautiful countryside just a few miles out of a-town. My mother used to raise appaloosas out there, and ride around the parkway (small world), it is definitely a great area for horse people!
