Support group, Charlotte, NC
Good Morning ALL -
I am in the Charlotte NC area and am a support group Leader for the NAAF. I recently relocated here from Texas. My daughter is 15 and was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata at the age of 13.
When we moved here, I couldnt find support groups and since I was a leader in Texas I decided to form one here.
Well if you are in the Charlotte NC area and are interested in coming out to the meeting this month, please contact me directly for the meeting info and I will get it to you.
I am looking forward to hosting some type of community awareness event to educate the public on Alopecia, as well as have fun events for all ages that involve supporting both those that have been diagnosed and the friends and families.

My daughter agrees! When we moved here she actually decided to go bald all the time. I try not to speak for her but i think in just watching her she feels better being around others that understand. Will you be at the meeting on Saturday, January 25th?

I do understand - I will keep you guys up to date on the events that we have going on so maybe you can make some of the special events that we plan - I would love to meet you! In addition, if I dont see a group forming in your areas, I will work to see if I can start something in your areas. Let me know what you think!

I'm 21 from chapel hill ! Hope your first meeting went well. In two weeks I'll have been (fully)bald for a year. If you have more ideas about events and such let me know! Happy you and your daughter have found support in your community !
