I couldn't wait any longer. The house was quiet, children and husband asleep. . . so i decided to shave my head. I'm glad I took the time to do it alone. It was little more difficult (emotionally) than I thought it would be. My main concern how my daughter will react when she wakes in the morning. I already told her i was going to do it and she was upset, mostly b/c she liked to play hair dresser with what was left me my hair :) Anyway, how liberating. With the last clump of hair inthe middle of my head gone it's amazing to see how widespread the alopecia really is. So ,tomorrow starts a new phase for me. No more damn slipping headbands. I can wear the hats, wraps or wigs on my terms. . . it's already a whole lot cooler :)

I posted the before and after pics. You may be the only people I have the guts to show them too . Thanks for all the support.

Yay, I'm so proud of you, doesn't the freedom feel great? You're right, no more slippage, worrying about your wig being straight or staying on, spending good money on bad wigs, etc. You look great, you go girl! I love it!

Congratulation!!
By the way, you might want to ask your daugther to put make up on your head... I did that with mine.... my eldest daugther was complaining that she could'nt comb my hairs like her friends do with their mom (I'm AU) but when I told her she could draw on my head, WOW, she was very happy and so was I!

PS: we were using water soluble crayons for face painting
