Why so much emphasis on hair and not other style changes?

Every winter I change my hair extensions out and wear a wig. With my puny hair, I feel it is best to give it a rest from extensions, and also at the ranch my own hair with extensions does not hold well in the wind and rain.

I love my wigs, but every year it is the same process of getting used to the comments others make about my new hair. Some people are very kind, others not so much. I have learned from past experience that this goes with the territory.

Out in the world as an alopecian; the job interview and further steps

While I am a musician (Singer/Songwriter), I don't exist off the air I breathe. It would be nice. When I was signed to a label in the mid-90s I toured, made very good money. Long story short, my contract with my label was not renewed. It meant "start over". Back to a day job. I burned the candle at both ends, working to support myself, pursuing my musical endeavors, writing performing.

Wig Wearing Women - Stand Tall!!

I feel so compelled to write this message to all of you bald women who choose to wear wigs. I don't mean to be controversial or engage in debate because aren't we all one family, one community of support? We are ALL in the same boat.
