Update on my treatment and medication

Thought I would give everyone an update on my status incase it may help in some way. :)



It has been about 4months since I was diagnosed with LPP (scarring alopecia) and started my course of medication and treatments. They say that we have caught it early on, although I am at the point where I need to do strategic combovers and hours of prep to get my hair in an acceptable style. (I am pretty thin on the top of my head and can't do a side or middle part at all any more.)

Going around again

So, I haven't posted on here for a long while. I suppose I've been busy doing other things.



For about 1 year now I've been seeing a Psychologist. It started last year with a referral for a completely different problem (not alopecia) from my GP. The actual problem I went to her about, we only discussed twice. Since then it has been about a range of things - most commonly coming up being my ex boyfriend, alopecia and the two things relating to eachother.

Summertime musings

Well its officially summer in the River City. We have had fires everywhere for months (southern Georgia, neighboring Florida counties to the west and south). Even on some days when it was actually not too hot to don a wig I left it at home anyway, as I did not want to get that smoke smell in it.

I KNEW I WOULD BE OK

So I wrote back in April about my lifestory - especially about how much I struggled with my self esteem even up to then regarding being a bald female. What a rough road it has been. And yet I also wrote about some changes like the courage it took for me to even write my story.
