- I've had Alopecia since age 13, and boy, it does *not* make you feel special when a doctor tells you he's never seen it start in someone so young. I've shaved my head before and felt great. But over the past year, I've gotten frozen again in fear and shame, trying my best to keep my hair covering my bright white scalp, but to no avail. Seeing the photos of all you beautiful bald women is giving me the courage and desire to shave it off again. Thank you!
