Hi my name is Rayna and I was diagnosed with Alopecia 2 days ago. I have a 22 yr old daughter,a 17 yr old son,a 17 yr old adopted son & two handsome grandsons. I am a widow as of 2011. I was married for 25 years to my high school sweetheart. I was a stay at home mom from 1991-2011. I was very blessed to be able to that for my children.

    Hi Rayna, I also shaved my head recently and have decided to go with it. You're right, it is hard sometimes, but feels easier for me than a wig, hat or scarf. I get the raised red bumps, but sometimes think it's hair trying to push through because I get them in places where it's already bald.

    I get red zit looking things to. Sometimes it itches. I try not to pick them. Do you know why we get red bumps ?

    I'm getting my hair back. I have a few bald spots that are being stubborn. But that's ok. The plan is to let my hair grow back in and cover those big round bald spots.
