Hello,
So I am finally attaching a comment to this research article. For us lay people it is hard to sort out, but if you look on p. 116 at the paragraph that begins with "Our GWAS..." it says that AA has "rick loci in common with other forms of autoimmunity, such as rheumatoid arthritis, type I diabetes, coeliac disease, lupis, ms, psoriasis....it's the connection with coeliac disease that I find interesting. The panel of doctors at last years NAAF (2011) conference said that they have noticed hair growth when gluten free diets were followed...which makes sense to me, considering the research says there are similarities between the two autoimmune conditions. It may be part of the puzzle, which further research may unravel.

Hello all, this one is not exactly research, as it is more casual. But it is based on facts and science no less. I did see hair growth after going on the paleo/primal diet. About 30%~40% regrowth, 9 months in. It kind of stayed that way without big improvements since. On primal diet for about 18months, now less strict and eating some rice. Thinking to go back on it again. Anyway, I digress. Have a read! :)
